About the Author

Holly Anne Thompson is an expat from Canada and has just recently moved to Villach in September 2022. She is a Master’s student, studying International Development virtually, at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. She works as a Content Creator and editor at Digitallotsen.at and she also spends time writing for the welcome2villach blog.

When she is not studying or working, she enjoys riding horses, traveling, and trying new foods, as she is a major foodie!
